Grandma Karen’s visit

Grandma Karen left today after spending over two weeks here looking after the joys, while mom and dad were back at work.  It was fun times and good memories all around.  We finished off this past weekend at our friend Andrew’s cottage while some spray foam work was done at the house, and it was a real treat for everyone!

Karen was able to take the guys to a local scooter park a few times, and they decided to spend some of their money to buys trick scooters while she was here, so grandma saw the makings of the Kalynuk boys scooter gang...

We celebrated Grandmas birthday while she was here.

As well as Oscar‘a first day back at school.

We also got out for a big bike trip and introduced some of our friends to the amazing trail system at LaRose forest.

Arlo’s tenth birthday was celebrated in a socially distant way, with a visit to our street by a local chip truck.  We treated all the kids in the hood to poutine. It was a strange kind of gathering, but Arlo felt pretty darn special.

The morning was also a fun one.  Arlo was treated to gifts from his brothers, cook star wars LEGO, and a nice hoody.  We had cake after lunch.  He is watch if Star Wars with his brother tonight.  A great day!
