Cruising with mama!

Here is Arlo on his first bike adventure with mama.  Otis usually rides there while Arlo cruises on his balance bike, but he got a treat today for a trip to the pharmacy.

Cooling off

The days are hot, so we are taking lots of breaks to cool off.  After some water play it sometimes takes a while to get our gear back on.  Thanks to a great gate our friends brought for us, we can "let it all hang out" while we dry off on our porch, and there is no worry of little bro crawling down the stairs (or walking, like he does now).

Nothing more Canadian...

Summertime, sweating in the heat, wearing the maple leaf on your chest, and playing some street hockey.  It doesn't get any more Canadian than this.  Arlo has been loving his mini sticks and nets since he got them, but shooting around with daddy yesterday he perfected his grip on the stick, and his snapshot.  Now hw is hitting the net with most shots.  The motivation is in the after goal celebrations (imagine arms in the air, with stick, and shouts of "score" or "gooooaaalll").  

The sens lost Alfie today, but maybe a future captain is I the making right here???

Beating the Heat

Today was a smoker with the humidex taking us up to around 40.  We headed to the beach, and you can see how the boys recovered after the swim and play.  Ice cream and a nap!

Backyard

The days have been wild for the past couple of weeks as the school year wound down.  A trip to bowmaville/Lindsay and back last Wednesday really threw everyone's schedules off for five days after(crazy tired boys and worn out parents).  Today was the first day of summer school for Ray, so we all enjoyed some backyard fun when daddy came home.  Still something not quite right with the boys' sleep.  A close friend of the boys was just diagnosed with hand foot and mouth disease.  It is pretty common in the area amongst kids, but that doesn't mean we want any part of it.  Hopefully we get off without that hitting us.  There is a bunch of toy disinfecting going on over the next few days.
