Today has been one where we kept the boys close to home. Wet and cold made our foray down to the farmers market, and the Wicked Westboro Halloween festival, quite short lived. Arlo wanted to wear his spider man costume, and insisted on Otis in his spider outfit, and mommy and daddy dressing up too...so...on top of our rain gear we were sporting capes, pirate hats, and costumes for our morning, outing. After some market buys, and checking out the pumpkin sculptures, we realized that indoors was where we needed to get the boys, so we went home and invited Nolan, from across the street, over for an afternoon of indoor play. Here the boys are cutting out some pumpkin shapes.
Nice friend you have there otis!
Check out the horns on our pumpkin. We carved our first one this morning. There are a mommy and daddy pumpkin waiting outside to be carved still.
Some of the artwork Arlo did with his mamma while Otis had a nap today.
Arlo cut this ghost out himself, with help only for the finger parts.
Jenny and Arlo took on this Halloween project the other day. Yep, those are zip ties. Pretty cool!

Happy birthday mamma!
This morning started off with the boys each giving their mamma big b day wishes, and their gifts. Otis gave a Tiffany charm that will have his name on it, for Jenny's bracelet (the one she got when Arlo came long). Arlo has been talking about giving his mom a watch for over a month now ( since we went shopping on sparks street with Marissa in the summer and he saw her looking at one). The boys took a secret trip downtown to pik up the goods a few weeks back, and kept it quite hush hush. Arlo's "cover story" was that we got Jenny "socks," so today when he gave the gift he said "it's socks mamma....but really it's a watch" he whispered. Too funny.
This evening Otis was inconsolable, so it wasn't the kind of relaxing time Jenny probably would have liked, but it was family, we had a nice dinner, and cake, and more gifts, and...after Otis crashed, and Arlo had some fun pay with his folks downstairs, there was a half hour of quiet time before she called it a night. It was the kind of day she wanted, with all her boyz.
