Lego time

One of the big gifts for each of the boys was a Lego table (made by Ray) for each of their bedrooms.  Right now they are in the living room, which means that the guys are busy working away at them.  Otis is really great at building with the instructions! And even better at breaking it all apart after.  Arlo has some really detailed work in front of him.  It is Lego for older kids, but he is up for the challenge.

Merry Christmas

After a 6:30 start, we are still mid play, with presents still to open at nine.  The boys are so excited about everything that they keep stopping to play.  Otis loves the tool set Santa gave him! And Arlo is a bit overwhelmed.

Cold weather crafts

The boys are just beside themselves waiting for real snow to fall.  Here they are,Nast at work making their own snowflakes...not quite the same, but fun, nevertheless.

Letter to Santa

Arlo got really excited by the first real snow of the year (actually both boys were trying to scoop up frost this morning, and this afternoon they were dancing and running around the yard in a quarter inch of the fist snow of the season).  The excitement turned into constant talk of Christmas and Santa.  Thus...the list writing.  Can you read what he wrote and figure out his wishes?

Yard Work

The guys just love raking leaves.  Now I each leaf needs to be raked at least a dozen times before it makes it in the compost bag...but who is counting when there is fun to be had?
