Hippity Hoppy Easter!

The boys woke up this morning, like any other morning, but when Arlo was told that it was Easter morning, he hopped out of bed and ran to get his brother, calling out that it was time to see what the Easter Rabbit had left for them.  Arlo really gets what is happening, and Otis picked up on it right away.  It is amazing to see them over look treats hiding at eye level, once, twice, three times, or more.  I think there might be eggs found for days to come...
Otis would not make use of his basket to collect eggs, and instead insisted on keeping them in his hands as he found more.  Eventually he could not hold them all, and he agreed to keep them in a basket, but he knew this meant he could not eat them all, so there were some tears.

Yesterday the boys took part in an egg hunt in our local park.  They loved roaming the park and finding hidden treats.  Big brother took care of little brother, and made sure that he always had some to find, or put in his basket.

We may need to check Otis into the Betty Ford clinic, as he seems to have developed a taste for chocolate eggs, and boy is it tough to keep them from him.  He is very...determined when he wants something.  Luckily Easter comes only once a year, and we can make sure that the chocolate is gone, or out of site, very soon.

Recovery

We got through most of the winter without much in the way of illness in the house, and then we let our guard down I guess...
Arlo got sick around march break, and we have been recovering ever since.  Otis had to stay home form school last week for a day, and we monitored him and a fever, and then a rash came on Friday.  CHEO doctors figured if was fifths disease, and we had to wait for the virus to run its course, but by Monday his eyes were filled with yellow discharge, so he has been home all week so far.  He is looking better, but it still seems like he went a few rounds with Rocky Balboa.
Arlo is feeling better, but isn't overly well rested.  Here are some shots of the guys...
