Last week we took Oscar to get a haircut so he could look like his brothers. Then on Saturday the boys and daddy headed out to the Grey cup festival. They got treated really well by everyone at the festival. Even got to meet some players and have the picture taken with the Grey Cup
The boys have been raring to get going on Halloween since October 1 when they had us get out our decorations! From the first awakenings this morning Arlo had his Kylo Ren costume on...and shortly after Otis got into his Darth Vader suit. They were so excited after school that they willingly sat down to dinner almost a half hour earlier than we ever usually eat. A trip around our block, to very generous neighbours, who all spoiled the boys, was all they needed before wanting to come home and sort their booty.
Oscar loved zooming around in his Lightning McQueen costume, and he got a lot of smiles along the way. He really enjoyed looking through his loot afterwards. Now for the Halloween hangovers! Hopefully the sugar will be out of their system by the weekend.
Last year Otis went in the Champlain park fun run and won in the under five age group run - by almost 100 m ahead of the closest other runner. Even though he was only four, he was so far ahead of the pack that he actually sat down and took a break twice during the run :-) This year he decided to go on the 2 km six and over run. It was a fun course, through the woods, and he finished in the first half of the pack easily, even after stopping to walk once or twice.
