Lest We Forget
The Boyz and their mamma headed on down the path (that runs right across the street from their house) to catch the Remembrance Day ceremony this past Nov 11. They were going to take in the event, pay their respects to the fallen, and those who served, and to watch their daddy and his School of Rock choir perform. Though the 85+ member group performed in a morning ceremony, indoors, with over 50 ukeleles, ten violins, and a dozen guitarists, the cold and wet afternoon meant that the students were just singing while daddy played guitar, and two other teachers played violin and uke. It was a great local ceremony, attended by half a dozen local MPs, MPPs, and the mayor. Arlo and Otis were photographed for a local newspaper as they placed the wreaths they made on the cenotaph after the ceremony. The photo below is the one from the paper, and the article can be found at the kitchessippi times website. Arlo came through the crowd during the ceremony to find his daddy, and he watched from daddy's arms, which made it an extra special event for them both, to get that time together in the school day.
